
Celebrating Excellence: JPT Award Ceremony 2025 Honors the Best in Japanese Language Education!
The air was electric with excitement at the Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka, as we hosted the spectacular "JPT Award Ceremony 2025." This grand event was a celebration of the incredible talent and dedication within Bangladesh's Japanese language community, honoring the outstanding achievements of institutions, instructors, researchers, and, most importantly, the students.
The ceremony was led by distinguished figures, including Professor Dr. Md. Ansarul Alam, who opened the event by speaking on the JPT's growing international recognition and its vital role for Bangladeshi students and professionals. "Japanese language skill is the key to unlocking opportunities in Japan, and JPT is a reliable path to prove that skill," he stated, noting the rising number of test-takers as a sign of its popularity.
A Future Full of Opportunity
A major highlight came from Mr. Ken Komine, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, who praised the strong friendship between our two nations. The most exciting news of the day was delivered by Engineer Md. Salahuddin, Director of BMET, who announced a groundbreaking government initiative: *nearly 100,000 skilled workers will receive free Japanese language training to be sent to Japan over the next three years!*
The global success of JPT was showcased by Mr. Riyotsuki Kitada of the JPT Authority, Japan. He shared that JPT is thriving in over 12 countries, with over 400 schools and 21 universities in Japan accepting its scores. He pointed to Nepal, where JPT participationis expected to reach 20,000 students in 2025, as a powerful example of the potential for growth here in Bangladesh.
Real-World Success Stories
The true impact of the JPT was confirmed by Mr. Nagamatsu Faruk, Managing Director of the renowned agency RIJIC. He stated, "Through JPT certification, our students' success rate for receiving the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for Japan is increasing day by day."
The ceremony proudly awarded Top Scorers, Best Instructors, and leading organizations like the University of Dhaka, the Embassy of Japan, BMET, and AJLIB for their invaluable contributions. This event was a powerful reminder that the JPT is more than a test—it's a community dedicated to building a brighter future and strengthening the bond between Bangladesh and Japan.
